The recent times have been trying for the Pakistani economy. While most of the industries have seen massive price hikes in the past few months, the electronics businesses seem to have been affected the most.

Added to the already debilitating situation, the corona virus pandemic has badly affected trade with China. Containers of various items and assembling units have been stopped on port and are not being released after the deadly virus spread in various parts of Karachi.

The demand has steadily been increasing while the supplies have decreased. For electronics like air conditioners, this could mean a drastic increase in prices as the demand-supply balance deteriorates further. Amidst all this, the one brand that is still committed to their promise of low-cost electronics is Reason by Orient.

Reason is a Direct to Consumer (D2C) brand and has approached the consumers through an E-Commerce website that has currently been doing amazingly well.

Reason’s new Air Conditioner already has a number of brands beat in both specifications and price but on the helm of possible price hikes of about 5000-7000Rs, the brand is going the extra mile for the consumers by maintaining their original costs.

Mr. Abdul Rehman Talat told us, “Price hikes are definitely looming in the electronics business’ future but Reason is committed to what we promised when the brand was launched. We care for our consumers and our vision of a smarter and accessible Pakistan on all fronts will continue regardless of the circumstances.”

While we fear that the situation might worsen in the coming days, we are simultaneously glad that there is at least one brand that cares for and is aware of the problems of a common man and is coming up with solutions that cater to the working class.
