It was evident when the 24-year-old recently joined England’s Somerset County Cricket Club for this year’s T20 Vitality Blast.

Azam was equally excited to be part of the Somerset Cricket Club.
Here’s what he shared with the club:
“I’m looking forward to the new challenge that playing T20 cricket in England will bring. I have heard good things about Somerset from Azhar Ali, and I want to play a part in the Club winning matches. I know that Somerset get good support and I hope that I can give them something to cheer about this year.”

However, his presence for the finals will depend upon the national call as Pakistan is likely to host Sri Lanka for a Test match in Lahore before they play the second game in Dubai in September-October.
Other Pakistani players to feature in the T20 league are Fakhar Zaman (Glamorgan), Faheem Ashraf (Northamptonshire) and Mohammad Amir (Essex).
