The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has relaxed a significant coronavirus restriction for flights arriving in Pakistan, easing social distancing measures in some cases. The travel advisory was issued by CAA’s Air Transport department and will remain valid till October 31.
According to the new travel guidelines for inbound flights, the airlines following the mandatory PCR test requirement can now board passengers without social distancing measures while seating the passengers.

However, airlines not following the RT-PCR test requirement must ensure social distancing by keeping the middle seat empty between passengers.
Meanwhile, the authority has also renewed COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) for domestic and international flights operating from Pakistan.

Under the new SOPs, people accompanying passengers to the airport will not be permitted after the departure lounge.
Moreover, all flights will be disinfected before departure, and the crew members will be mandated to wear PPE kits during the flight.
