Following the discovery of a new strain of the coronavirus, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a new travel advisory for passengers traveling to Pakistan from the United Kingdom (UK) and South Africa.

According to the new travel advisory that will remain effective until 31 January, a Pakistan passport holder with either a business visa, a visit visa, or a transit visa may board a Pakistan-bound flight from the UK or South Africa after submitting a negative PCR test conducted 72 hours prior to the flight to the concerned authorities.

All passengers traveling to Pakistan from these countries will have to take the Rapid Antigen Tests upon their arrival. Those who test negative will be allowed to leave the airport but will be advised to quarantine themselves for at least five days.
