Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) government’s efforts to boost the country’s tourism sector have begun to bear fruit as Forbes – the top American business magazine – has included Pakistan in its list of top ten under-the-radar places to visit in 2020.
The country has been mentioned as one of the best tourism destinations for 2020 by several international publishers and tourism magazines, including The Independent, Telegraph, and Conde Nast Traveller since the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the country in October last year.
According to Wild Frontiers Travel, the country has become one of the most anticipated destinations ever since the high-profile Royal visit.

Speaking with Forbes, its founder, Jonny Bealby, said:
Pakistan is perhaps the ultimate adventure travel destination. It offers ancient Indus civilizations stretching back 4,000 years, and exciting cities like Lahore with its forts, mosques, and palaces. But most of all, it offers incredible scenery, particularly in the north where the three greatest mountain ranges collide.
He maintains that the country is excellent for trekking, mountain biking, rafting, or just cultural tourism.
The infrastructure has also improved, with resurfaced roads and new tunnels cutting down travel time, new luxury hotels are opening up in the region.
The list also includes Saudi Arabia, Chad, Armenia, Tunisia, Algeria, and Eritrea, among others.
