While the funding raised from the PSL vs. IPL match will be directed towards the people affected by the economic impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, it will be a huge step in bringing Pakistan and India closer.
Earlier this month, Surinder Khanna, former Indian cricketer and member of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Governing Council, had also voiced support for organizing matches between the PSL and IPL champions.
The 64-year-old expressed hope that relations between the two nuclear-armed neighbors would move in a positive direction in the future, adding that cricketing fans all over the world want to witness Pakistani players take on Indian cricketers.
