Pakistan yesterday reported 1,918 new coronavirus cases across the country, the lowest daily toll since May 26, 2020. Pakistan tested around 23K samples during the time.

Sindh reported more than half or 1,170 new cases yesterday, where Karachi alone reported 447 cases. Hyderabad, Khairpur, Thakparkar and Sanghar reported 96, 46, 44 and 44 cases respectively.

Punjab reported 442 new Coronavirus cases in a day — lowest daily cases in two months — where Lahore and Rawalpindi reported 190 and 46 new cases respectively.

KP, Islamabad and Balochistan reported 183 (lowest since May 26th), 50 (lowest since May 24th) and 20 new cases respectively.

A total of 47 patients died of the coronavirus related complications, as Sindh reported 30 deaths during the day. Punjab and KP reported 8 and 6 deaths respectively. Another 3 patients died in Balochistan.

Yesterday 14,772 patients were reported as recovered as the total tally for recoveries reached 198,507 or 75.79% of the total positive cases in the country.

Active cases dropped further down to 57,886, a level we previously had on 4th June 2020.
