According to details, Saima was deployed in a women’s quarantine center in the provincial capital during the peak of the Coronavirus outbreak. She was tasked with providing security and ensuring that the supply of food, medicine, and other essential items remained uninterrupted.

Besides, Saima also led a number of successful raids and apprehended numerous wanted criminals during the same period to keep the crime rate in check.

This isn’t the first time a female police officer from KP has been selected for the UN peacekeeping mission.

Earlier this year in March, Gul Nisa, a commando serving in the KP Police, was chosen for UN peacekeeping duty as well.
