Karachi University (KU) has decided to hold exams online via different telecommunication applications.
According to the notification issued by the Registrar KU, Prof. Dr. Saleem Shehzad, semester and annual exams of both KU and affiliated colleges will be held online via Skype, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, or WhatsApp.

There will be 4 different modes of exams which are:
Session assessment mode will consist of a term paper, case study project, thematic essay, individual or group presentations, class tests or activity, quiz, e-portfolio, open-book assignment, and an individual or group oral examination.
The final exam mode will comprise of open-book assessments, essays, final year project, reading and comprehension, and an oral examination.

Lab assessment mode, however, will only include viva as conducting the practical part of the assessment on campus amid the Coronavirus outbreak could jeopardize the safety of both students and staff.
The supplementary exam mode will be carried out on the same pattern as the final exam.
Students facing internet issues or medical disabilities are directed to submit an application to their class teachers so that KU can arrange oral examinations for them over a phone call.
