Earlier this year, internal sources leaked that LG was working on several mid-range Q-series smartphones that will come with support for 5G connectivity. Materializing its plans of making the new tech more available in a budget-friendly range, the smartphone OEM has launched the LG Q92 5G, which is basically a toned-down and less costly version of the LG Velvet launched in April this year.
The smartphone comes with a plain back and a metallic chassis like the LG velvet. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the side, and the quad-sensor rear camera is directly mounted on the smartphone’s back, ditching the camera bump trend seen in almost all the smartphones nowadays, and it is refreshing to see.
The LG Q92 is built around a 6.67-inch LCD panel with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and ~395 PPI pixel density. The display has slightly thick bezels all around with a relatively large punch hole, which might be a turn off for some.
The handset is powered by the Snapdragon 765G paired with 6GB RAM and 128 GB onboard storage. Oddly enough, it is only available in one memory variant.
LG Q92 boots on UX 9 on top of Android 10.
The smartphone features a quad sensor rear camera with a 48 MP primary shooter, 8 MP ultrawide module, 5 MP depth helper, and 2 MP macro cam. On the front, it features a 32 MP snapper for selfies.
The whole package is fueled by a 4,000 mAh battery backed by 15W fast charging. The phone will be available for sale in South Korea by 24th August and will set users’ backs by $420.
