According to the anti-graft watchdog, BDA officials signed sub-agreements and established a sister company called Tethyan Copper Company (TCC) with help from the parent firm. NAB says that serious financial irregularities also were found in the allotment of land and other matters.

Meanwhile, NAB Rawalpindi has arrested two of the main accused in the case. The officials Shair Khan and Muhammad Farooq have confessed to taking financial benefits.

The records and statements of the witnesses revealed that the TCC operatives lured government employees to grant them the mining contract against monetary benefits.
