The sixth round of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy concluded with Northern, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Central Punjab registering victories.

The round saw some terrific performances from less established players. Kamran Ghulam scored a magnificent century, Waqas Maqsood picked up 6 wickets in an innings, Umar Amin scored yet another first-class century and Nauman Ali picked up 6 wickets to become the leading wicket-taker in the tournament.

Central Punjab recorded their first victory of the tournament after a huge 227 run victory over Sindh. Waqas Maqsood’s exceptional spell helped Central Punjab bowl Sindh out for just 92 runs and Hasan Ali picked up 4 wickets in the final innings to win the match for the defending champions.

KP continued their rich vein of form with a 175 run victory over Balochistan. Every player contributed towards the victory as KP registered their third win of the tournament and jumped up to the 2nd spot.

Northern faced off against Southern Punjab in the top of the table clash. Northern’s brilliant performances throughout the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy continued as they managed to defeat the table-toppers Southern Punjab by 6 wickets. Northern chased down a target 200 in the 4th innings on the final day.
