Nearly a month after releasing the Oppo A53, the Chinese brand is now announcing a cheaper alternative called the Oppo A33. The Oppo A33 is an entry-level device that shares most of its specifications with the A53 and only differs in the camera department and memory configuration.

The two phones are identical in terms of design. Both have the same 6.5-inch LCD panel with 720p resolution and a punch-hole camera in the corner. The Oppo A33 is one of the cheapest phones on the market with a 90Hz display.
At the back, there is a triple camera setup in a rectangular cutout and a fingerprint sensor on top of a glossy back panel.
Oppo A33 has less memory than the A53. It features a 3GB/32GB configuration (expandable via a microSD card), whereas A53 offers 6GB RAM and 128GB storage space. Both devices are powered by the same entry-level Snapdragon 460 SoC with a 1.8GHz octa-core CPU.
You get Android 10 based Color OS 7.2 on the software front.
The primary camera setup is also shared between the two handsets. It has a 13MP main shooter combined with a 2MP depth sensor and an additional 2MP unit for macro shots. This camera can record 1080p clips at 30 FPS. The front camera is only an 8MP cam, down from the 16MP we saw on the Oppo A53.
The large 5,000 mAh battery is present on this one as well and it has support for 18W fast charging too.
Oppo A33 will go for sale on October 1 for $155. It will be available in Mint Green and Midnight Black colors.
