Alongside the Oppo A9 2020, Oppo has also quietly announced the A5 2020. The two phones share a number of specifications including a quad rear camera setup, a beefy 5,000mAh battery, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665.

Design and Display

The A5 2020 has a 6.5-inch display with a tiny waterdrop notch at the top housing the front-facing camera. The side bezels are ultra-thin and the chin at the bottom is relatively sizeable. Oppo hasn’t mentioned the screen resolution, however, the A5 2020 might have a Full  HD+ display considering its other specifications.

As mentioned before, there is a quad-camera setup at the back right above the fingerprint sensor. The LED flash is in a small separate cutout alongside the depth sensor camera lens.

The phone will come in Mirror Black and Dazzling White color options.

Internals and Storage

Coming over to the internals, the phone is powered by the mid-range Snapdragon 665 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM and 64GB storage capacity. There is also a 4GB/64GB variant which will cost you a bit more. The Adreno 610 GPU on-board should make sure most of your mobile games display consistent FPS.

The storage can be further expanded (up to 256GB) via a microSD card.

It runs on Oppo’s Color OS which is based on Android 9.0 Pie.

Cameras

The quad-camera setup on the A5 2020 consists of a 12-megapixel primary lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel monochrome shooter, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor for portraits. These cameras support Ultra Night Mode 2.0, HDR and multi-frame technology.

The front-facing camera on the A5 2020 is a 16-megapixel shooter which can record videos in Full HD.

Battery and Pricing

The Oppo A5 2020 houses a large 5000 mAh battery which should easily last you around 2 to 3 days considering the mid-range specifications of the phone.

The device is currently going for approximately Rs. 30,589 in India. It is only available in India but it should arrive in Pakistan soon.
