The sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021 might be postponed amid a rising number of coronavirus cases within the bio-secure bubble.

As per media reports, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is mulling over rescheduling the remaining matches of the tournament after three more players tested positive for coronavirus. A virtual meeting of board and franchise officials has been called on Thursday to make a decision.

On the other hand, President Karachi Kings, Wasim Akram is likely to leave the hotel room where all franchise officials are staying. As per reports, Wasim, who is a diabetes patient, has been advised by the doctors not to take risks and leave the contaminated environment. He is expected to vacate his room by evening.

In yet another development, Karachi Kings all-rounder Daniel Christian has withdrawn from the league due to the ongoing pandemic situation. He will fly back to Australia this afternoon.
