Pakistan’s squash team has defeated India 2-1 on the last day of the South Asian Games 2019, taking the country’s gold medal count to 32.

This year’s edition of South Asian Games was organized in Kathmandu and Pokhara, Nepal. From December 1 to 10, seven teams from South Asia participated in the games. Other than Nepal and Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, and Bhutan also participated in the event.

Pakistan fielded a three-member team in men’s squash event with Farhan Mehboob, Asim Khan, and Tayyab Aslam representing the country.

Tayyab Aslam overpowered India’s Harinder Paal Singh in the first squash match. The final score was 5-11, 11-6, 4-11, 12-10.

On the other hand, Farhan Mehboob defeated Abay Singh 11-8 and 12-10 while Asim Khan suffered a defeat at the hands of Pardan Abhishek.
