A number of fast bowling records belong to Pakistani fast bowlers and one such unique record belongs to the legendary Waqar Younis. The current bowling coach of Pakistan cricket team holds the record for having the most number of international wickets from age 22-30. The only other bowler with more wickets at age 21 is Afghanistan’s leg-spinner, Rashid Khan who has 230 wickets to his name at the age of 30.

That is what you call total dominance and he did it for a full decade. He is easily one of the greatest fast bowlers to have graced the gentleman’s game. He took a total of 789 international wickets including 373 in Tests and 416 in ODIs.

In a career that spanned over 14 years from 1989 to 2003, the 48-year-old took an impressive 35 five-wicket hauls and enjoyed an average of just over 23 in both formats of the game at the time.
