Ever since Samsung unveiled its 64MP smartphone camera, companies have been rushing to put it on their smartphones before others do.

Realme has already demoed the camera for an upcoming smartphone, but Redmi Note 8 Pro is actually going to be the first phone on the market to have it.

Just a few days before its release, Redmi brand manager, Lu Weibing, has posted camera samples from the Redmi Note 8 Pro on Weibo. In one of the images, he’s posing next to a camera sample from the Note 8 Pro printed onto a three-meter tall poster in front of Xiaomi’s Beijing HQ.

The image may not be an accurate representation of the camera’s output quality, and for that reason, there is also a second sample that shows a view of the Beijing skyline.

The camera results are indeed impressive, probably the best you’ll see on any mid-range smartphone. You can see the minute details after zooming in with a bit of noise.

Images captured by the Redmi Note 8 Pro are said to have twice the resolution of 8K, 7.7 times higher than 4K, and 25 times more clear than a 1080p image. It will also come with 25x zoom and will be powered by the Mediatek Helio G90T with 18W fast charging support.

The Redmi Note 8 series will be officially unveiled in China on August 29.
