Spearhead of Pakistani bowling unit, Shaheen Afridi has quickly made his mark as one of the finest fast bowlers from Pakistan. Shaheen has all the attributes to succeed at the top level and establish himself as one of the finest bowlers produced by Pakistan. Although he may be an exciting talent, he still lacks the experience to be regarded among one the best bowlers in the world.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently released a video across several social media platforms, where they asked Shaheen to create his own ideal bowler. Unsurprisingly, Shaheen chose attributes of three legendary Pakistani bowlers. His ideal bowler, surprisingly, included an attribute from a current Pakistani bowler.

Shaheen went for the pace and bounce of the fastest bowler in the world, Shoaib Akhtar.

“It will be beneficial for me, if I can bowl bouncers like Shoaib Akhtar,” said Shaheen. “Shoaib [Akhtar] bhai was the fastest bowler and I would like to add a bit more pace like him in my bowling.”

Left-arm pacer selected Wasim Akram’s inswing as his next attribute. Shaheen said that Wasim Akram is the perfect role model for any left-arm bowler and he aspires to match the level of Wasim’s inswing.
