After steady new cases for consecutive four days, Pakistan reported a spike in new cases yesterday as Punjab pick-up numbers (mainly due to clearance of back-log). A total of 1,974 new cases were reported as Punjab recorded 762 new cases (instead of usual 300/400 cases that it had been reporting for few days).
Punjab has tendency of reporting higher than usual cases once every 3 to 4 days. Sindh, on the other hands, reported 787 new coronavirus cases while KP and Balochistan added 214 and 148 new cases respectively.
New deaths due to coronavirus complications were recorded at 30 to take the national tally to 903.
