Karachi’s streets and roads are flooded every time it rains in the city. To solve the issue, Prime Minister Imran Khan asked the Pakistan Army to clear drains in the city.

The Apex court was told that Karachi has 38 drains of different sizes and they usually remain filled with garbage. When it rains, the drains overflow. As a result, the gutter water mixes with rainwater and floods the roads and submerges streets and houses.

Hearing this, CJP Gulzar directed NDMA to clean all drains in three months and asked authorities to remove the encroachment in the surroundings.
