UPDATE:
The owner of Multan Sultans, Ali Khan Tareen has clarified the situation regarding his franchise’s fee. It was reported that Sultans were yet to submit the annual fee to PCB.
Here is what Ali Khan had to say about it:
Regarding article stating MS yet to pay franchise fee: As the team was bought so close to the start of PSL, PCB asked us to pay a portion upfront & the remainder after the tournament. We have already given cheques for the remaining amount to the PCB. 👍🏼

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Multan Sultans is yet to deposit their mandatory franchise fee to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the fourth edition of the PSL, according to latest media reports.
Following a bidding process, Multan Consortium, led by Ali Khan Tareen, won the rights for the ‘Sixth Team’ and are yet to pay the annual amount of $6.35 million to the PCB.
The annual fee is supposed to be submitted prior to the start of the league but four months have passed since the fourth edition of PSL, and the PCB are still awaiting payment from Multan Sultans.
The media reports further claim that neither Ali Khan Tareen has responded regarding the matter nor the Multan Sultans management.
It is worth mentioning that PCB terminated their contract with the previous Sultans owners over the non-payment issue as well. If the reports are true then Multan Consortium might also face the same fate.
