It has barely been a while since the release of Redmi Note 8, but that is not stopping the rumor mill from spreading leaks about an upcoming successor. After last month’s leaks on the device’s name and SoC, there are now renders on the Internet that show what the Redmi Note 8T might look like.

The renders show the Redmi Note 8 and 8T side by side. The two phones are identical when it comes to design. Everything including the vertical quad-camera layout, fingerprint sensor, and even the Redmi brand logo is placed exactly in the same spot for the two devices.

There are no renders for the front yet.

Rumor has it that the Note 8T will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730G SoC, which delivers near flagship-grade performance. However, the leakster responsible for spreading these images opposes this claim, saying that the two phones are actually the same, and the only difference is that the 8T will have support for NFC.

Redmi hasn’t commented on any of this yet. It is also too early to be talking about a release date, but more information is expected to surface soon.

Stay tuned for more updates on the Redmi Note 8T.
