In a dramatic turn of events, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has asserted that all pilots are granted licenses in accordance with the due process, claiming that all licenses are genuine and validly issued.

In a letter issued from the authority’s headquarters in Karachi, the CAA has rubbished the recent scandal of fake licenses that led to the termination of numerous pilots and resulted in the revocation of operating permit of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) from the European Union, United Kingdom, and the United States.

Not only this, the CAA unabashedly claimed that the matter has been misinterpreted in both national and international media and social networking platforms.

The letter further states that CAA has verified the credentials of 96 Pakistani pilots working in the UAE, Vietnam, Bahrain, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Turkey till now.

CAA reiterated to follow the policy of ‘zero tolerance’ against those who earn licenses through illicit ways and prosecute them under the Pakistan Civil Aviation Rules 1994.
