The latest collaboration between Digit and MediaTek has inspired an exciting product line for the all-new Jazz Digit4G Elite and Defender handsets. They’re powered by the feature-centric MediaTek MT6731 chipset that supports quadcore 64-bit processing and most importantly, 4G SIM technology.

The MT6731 brings together a powerful and efficient 64-bit, quad-core Arm Cortex-A53 CPU and IMG PowerVR GE8100-class GPU to the new Digit4G phones, with support for up to HVGA displays included. It provides a comprehensively faster package that offers up to 2.4X CPU performance (DMIPS) and up to 41% more GPU performance versus direct alternatives.

Design and Display

Digit4G Elite comes with a dual smart camera setup coupled with basic camera functions. On the front, it comes with a 2.8-inch flat screen at TFT 240×320, with a front-facing camera right next to the embedded speakerphone.

Internals and Storage

The Digit4G Elite is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6731 quad-core chipset and comes in a single spec variant of 4GB storage and 512MB RAM. The MicroSD card slot offers storage expansion up to 32GB.

In terms of connectivity, the Elite variant supports WiFi (with WiFi Hotspot), Bluetooth, FM, GPS, and a microUSB charging port. It’s a dual sim handset and comes with a dual standby option as well.

Battery and Pricing

In terms of battery, the handset features a 2000mAh cell that attains full charge within 60 minutes. If you’re an avid mobile user, expect the Digit4G to last more than a week on a full charge.

Design and Display

Digit4G Defender comes with a smart recording sensor at the back. On the front, it comes with a 2.4-inch flat screen at TFT 240×320, with a threaded view for writing and sending texts, and an Instant Message option.

The Digit4G Defender is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6731 quad-core chipset and comes in a single spec variant of 4GB ROM and 512MB RAM. The micro card slot offers storage expansion up to 32GB.

In terms of connectivity, Digit 4G Defender variant offers support in WiFi (with WiFi Hotspot), Bluetooth, FM, GPS, and USB (Micro 5PIN). It’s a dual sim handset. At the back, the phone comes without a camera. It is perfect for the community which requires a smartphone without the camera in it.

Battery and Pricing

In terms of battery, the handset features a 1700mAh cell and should last more than a week on a full battery. Digit4G retails for Rs. 4,099 in local markets.
