In these uncertain times, companies are moving towards digital transformation to adapt to the current circumstances and drive growth. This, however, is a challenge as staying ahead of the competition through innovation in technology has become the need of the hour.

It has also given companies an opportunity to take an out-of-the-box approach and devise creative strategies that ensure a smooth flow of work and drive positive results. One such company that really made its mark and emerged during the pandemic was PTCL.

PTCL, being a national carrier, has continued to support the nation in realizing the vision of a Digital Pakistan. The company’s focus was to provide the latest and agile digital solutions to its customers whether at home or supporting the business community.

From introducing state-of-the-art digital workplaces for the employees to partnering with digital techs from around the world, it has been facilitating and enabling the country towards digitalization.

To lead the digital efforts, PTCL has collaborated with Avaya spaces whereby, it provides free and full-feature access for a limited time to customers in Pakistan. Avaya Spaces is an all-in-one video meeting and workstream collaboration platform for the digital workplace that changes the way work gets done in nearly 100 countries.

It helps businesses, schools, governments, and other organizations to bring together distributed groups of people instantly with immersive workspaces where they can message, meet, share content, manage tasks, and collaborate in the Cloud.

Another PTCL partnership that enables education is Qtaleem, which is a complete school management system for all the educational needs that caters to administration, teachers, and students. PTCL QTaleem delivers a 360-degree digital education experience, enabling school administrators, teachers, and students to be as productive online as they are on-campus.

Being fully cloud-based, it delivers an end-to-end school management system, offering multitenancy, regional language support, quick installation and onboarding, and the ability to host live and recorded video classes.

PTCL, in line with its strategy to drive innovative digital solutions for its customers, has also taken on board DETASAD (DETECON Al Saudia Co. Ltd.), a Saudi-German joint venture and a leading contributor to the ICT sector of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

Together they aim to establish a digital Cloud Marketplace in Pakistan to provide the customers and businesses with the opportunity to transform their traditional IT infrastructure into a more modern, robust, and scalable cloud-based solution.

Recently, another key landmark project was awarded to PTCL by Universal Service Fund (USF) comprising two Optic Fiber Cable (OFC) project contracts. Through this project, the people of Ghotki, Kashmore, Sukkur, and Khairpur districts in Sindh will be enabled by PTCL’s latest ‘Fiber Optic Technology’.

This will further ensure that they remain connected and at par with all the metropolises of the country, and the world as a whole through digital connectivity.

In its efforts to redefine the paradigms of communication, PTCL has continually empowered businesses, education systems, and customers with seamless connectivity.
