An oil depot has caught fire at Kemari Terminal-1, Karachi. There are conflicting reports from the area, some claiming that the fire erupted at the Shell Oil Depot, while others cite that the PSO depot has caught fire.
Both companies have, however, denied reports claiming that they follow the appropriate safety protocols to avoid such incidents. A confirmed report from an independent source is still awaited.

Meanwhile, authorities have been quick to action with police taking control of the area, and firefighters extinguishing the fire.
According to rescue sources, at least six people have been shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi’s Burns Centre with injuries.
