Higher Education Commission (HEC) has unequivocally denounced the news of issuing a letter that claimed that the universities have been directed to shut down campuses and reduce the number of students to 30% of total enrollment amid the rising Coronavirus cases in Pakistan.

Taking to Twitter, HEC termed the letter as ‘fake’ and warned both students and teachers not to pay heed to such announcements.

This “Fake Letter" is circulating, claiming that universities have been directed to close campuses and limit number of students to 30 percent of enrolment. This is FAKE news.
HEC has not issued any such direction.
