Last weeks, Honor’s President, George Zhao, announced how he wants the TV to be the central hub of a household. He was hinting at the Smart Screens, Honor’s revolutionary product category.

According to his claims, the Smart Screens are designed to become the emotional center of the family as an audio-visual entertainment center, information-sharing center, control management center and multi-device interaction center.

Despite teasing the product, the President did not reveal about the launch of the new category but it changed yesterday when Honor, on Weibo, confirmed that the new Smart Screen product will be unveiled at HDC 2019 scheduled for August 9-11.

The following was posted on Huawei’s Weibo account and was then forwarded to users via Honor’s account:

The post reads, “When mobile phones are no longer mobile phones, computers are no longer computers, what would a smart product look like if it was raised to the Nth power?”.

Another teaser poster that surfaced related to the smart screen’s category is:

We are guessing, along with the new revolutionary category, Huawei will also unveil its HongMeng OS since HongMeng was not developed for smartphones, it might be a one-stop solution to everything smart. Hence, the HongMeng OS might be a part of Honor’s Smart screen.
