After launching six phones in its P40 series last year, the Chinese tech giant Huawei has quietly added yet another smartphone, the Huawei P40 4G, to the series. The smartphone was recently listed on JD.com revealing all the key specifications and pricing details.
Featuring a design similar to other smartphones in the series, the handset is built around a 6.1-inch OLED panel with 1080p resolution and a pill-shaped notch in the top left.
The display supports a traditional refresh rate of 60Hz and is equipped with an in-screen fingerprint and face unlock support. The device comes with an IP53 rating for dust and waterproofing.
Under the hood, the smartphone comes with Huawei’s own Kirin 990 SoC topped with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. It also comes with an NM card slot for storage expansion.
The software details of the device are not known yet.
At the back, the Huawei P40 4G features a Leica engineered triple sensor camera setup with a 50 MP main sensor, 16 MP ultra-wide sensor, and an 8 MP telephoto lens. For selfies, it is equipped with a 32 MP dual selfie setup.
The handset is fueled by a 3800 mAh battery with 22.5W charging support. The base variant costs $525. It is available in two colors: Dark Blue and Frost Silver.
