Mohammad Rizwan’s brilliant half century earned Multan Sultans their first win of the campaign and they are finally off the mark on the PSL points table. Multan restricted the Lahore Qalandars batting line-up, who could only manage 156/7 in their innings. Multan chased down the target comfortably, with 7 wickets in hand and 22 balls to spare. Sohaib Maqsood’s half-century guided them through after the dismissal of Rizwan.

Earlier, Lahore’s batting unit couldn’t get going on a relatively slower pitch but veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez made it look easy, he scored 60 runs off 35 balls, including five huge sixes.

Multan moved up ahead of Peshawar Zalmi on the PSL 6 points table, while Lahore, after suffering their first defeat, moved to the second spot.

Let’s have a look at the updated points table
