MG 3 is a sub-compact family hatchback that is likely to rival the Suzuki Cultus, KIA Picanto, and United Alpha.
The previous tweets about MG 3 by Javed Afridi — the key stakeholder of Morris Garages (MG) Pakistan — had drawn a staggering amount of attention from both car enthusiasts and the general public. Perhaps their responses were what had nudged Afridi to finally pull the trigger on the launch of the MG 3 hatchback.

In the international market, the vehicle is available with two engine options, one of which is a 1.5-liter, naturally aspirated, four-cylinder petrol engine that makes 105 hp and 137 Nm of torque. The other is also a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder petrol engine that makes 109 hp and 150 Nm of torque. The former comes with a 5-speed manual transmission and the latter has a 4-speed automatic transmission.
The hatchback segment of the Pakistani automobile market is in dire need of increased variety. One might argue that the imported vehicles are a viable option, but buyers must also bump up their budget if they want an imported car.
Afridi’s latest tweet indicates that the MG 3 may be offered at less than Rs. 2 million. With its features, looks, and performance, the MG 3 has fantastic value if and when it will be introduced at the said price point.
