Pakistan has reported 2,085 new coronavirus cases in the country during last 24 hours with around 24K samples tested in one day.
Test to positive case ratio dropped to 8.72%, down from up to 25% during same period last month.
Almost 15% down from seven day rolling average of 2,345, more than half of daily new cases came from Sindh only as the province reported another 1,155 new cases in a day.
Another 484 cases were reported from Punjab where Lahore district reported 178 new cases while Rawalpindi district tested 27 individuals positive.
KP, Islamabad and Balochistan added 269, 52 and 63 new cases respectively.
Yesterday 49 patients died of coronavirus related complications where around 70% or 34 deaths were reported from Sindh only. Punjab and KP reported 8 and 4 deaths respectively. Islamabad, GB and Balochistan saw 1 new death each.
With 3,784 recoveries in Sindh, total number of recoveries reached 183,737 or 70.7% of all reported cases.
Active cases dropped to around 70K, a level we previously had on June 7th, 2020.
