The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture & Tourism Authority (TCKP) has launched its first-ever 24/7 toll-free tourist helpline called ‘Tourist Facilitation Hub’ 1422 to provide information to domestic and international tourists regarding tourist spots, weather updates, nearby attractions, traffic information, available utilities, and emergency response services.

The helpline is currently being run on a trial basis to boost tourism in the province via the dissemination of information about facilities.

Following the government’s decision to open all the major tourist spots in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) in August 2020, the influx of domestic and international tourists has increased as thousands of travel lovers have been visiting numerous sites across the province.

According to the figures from the TCKP, 2,681,000 tourists visited KP between 13 August and 31 October 2020, and over 762,000 tourists are currently exploring the different districts of the province.

Abbottabad received the highest number of tourists over the period, with over 1,718,000 tourists in August, and over 664,000 tourists are currently exploring the mesmerizing beauty of Swat.
