Miandad revealed that the revolt took place before the semi-final against New Zealand as the players had reservations over Khan’s way of leading the team.
The revolt took place before the semi-final against New Zealand. But to me, the country was more important, and I convinced the players to carry on playing under Imran.
Miandad said that the same incident led Imran Khan to announce retirement right after the World Cup and before the England tour in 1992.
Imran had come to know about the revolt, so he decided to bid adieu after the World Cup and before the England tour the same year.
