The Realme 5s is bringing a significant camera upgrade over its lower-end variant with the introduction of Samsung’s GM1 48MP sensor. The other three sensors will include an 8MP ultra-wide lens and two more 2MP lenses that will act as macro and depth-sensing units.
The display is sized at 6.5-inches with HD+ resolution and has a tall aspect ratio of 20:9. Thanks to minimal bezels and a tiny waterdrop notch, the phone also has a high screen to body ratio of 82.7%.
A new color option, called Crystal Red, will be joining the preexisting colors Purple and Blue.
The rest of its specifications are mostly the same as the base Realme 5. It is powered by the Snapdragon 665 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage. The 32GB storage option has been removed and the only options available to users will be 64GB and 128GB.
The battery compartment still has a massive 5,000 mAh cell, which should be able to power the phone’s mid-range specifications for 2 days of medium-heavy use. Sadly, there is still no fast charging and users will have to make do with 10W charging through the Micro USB port.
The Realme 5s is set to go on sale on November 29 in India. The base model with 4GB/64GB memory configuration will cost $139, whereas the 4GB/128GB model will be priced at $153.
