The management’s decision to not take Fakhar with them on the tour has been made keeping in mind the health of the rest of the squad and to give Fakhar ample rest to be fit again.
PCB’s medical team decided to shift Fakhar to the isolation ward as soon as the fever was detected.

Covid tests of every member of the touring party including Fakhar came out negative on Saturday, but Fakhar got a fever the very next day.

The team’s doctor, Sohail Saleem said:

As soon as his condition was reported, he was isolated from the rest of the squad in the team hotel. We are constantly monitoring his condition and remain hopeful of his quick recovery, however, he is not fit to travel with the squad and as such has been withdrawn from the touring party.
