Toyota IMC has introduced a new optional feature in the new Yaris 1.3 ATIV. The vehicle is now available with a better audio system and a rearview camera, which is an option that was initially only available in the top-spec Yaris.

While the audio system with the rearview camera is an optional upgrade worth Rs. 60,000 for those who already own the car, those who book the Yaris 1.3 ATIV with the upgrade will have to pay Rs. 66,000 over the car’s standard price.

The Toyota Yaris has been getting a mixed reception from the general public predominantly due to the polarizing and arguably disproportionate look of the vehicle. The other major reason is an overall lack of refinement in terms of the vehicle itself.

Despite the discontinuation of the Corolla XLI and GLI variants, and the lack of variety in the compact sedan segment, the Yaris has been sold in staggering numbers ever since the resumption of business activities amid the pandemic.

The Toyota Yaris has outsold both the City and the Civic sedans by a huge margin, with 3,058 units of the Yaris and only 1,858 combined units of City and Civic sold in October. This is because the City has been the same for almost a decade and desperately needs to be refreshed.
