In yet another step towards making Pakistan a welfare state, Prime Minister Imran Khan has launched the “Koi Bhooka Na Soye” program under the umbrella of the Ehsaas poverty alleviation scheme.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s election manifesto promised to eradicate poverty from the country, and PM Khan has been aggressively pushing for the cause. All initiatives under the Ehsaas Program are in line with PM Khan’s vision.
Under the program, mobile vans would visit different areas of major cities to feed the poor people. In the first phase, the program has been introduced in the federal capital and will be expanded to other cities in the later stages.

While addressing the launch ceremony in Islamabad, Prime Minister Imran Khan lamented that many people still go to bed hungry in many areas of Pakistan.
Most people [in Pakistan] are on daily wages, and when they don’t get their wages, they have to sleep [on an] empty stomach.
He said that the government is taking a start from Islamabad but will soon reach other cities of the country.
One day, these vans would feed people across Pakistan.

Appreciating the efforts of the local administration to provide all facilities in Panagah (shelter homes), the premier said that many affluent people have approached him, showing their willingness to be part of the government’s initiative.
He said that many people have generously donated for the right cause. The premier also inspected one of the mobile vans and distributed meal boxes among the needy at the occasion.
