Two days ago, LG launched its new range of AI-powered televisions in India. The Korean company is famous for its televisions and this new AI ThinQ TV range has given it an edge over other TV manufacturers around the world.

The new range includes various Smart, LED, UHD, Nano Cell, and OLED AI ThinQ models that come with built-in Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple Airplay 2 support.

Moreover, the 2019 OLED and selective nano cell TV models also come with Apple home kit integration which enables controlling the TV via Siri and Home app on Apple devices.

Size and Pricing

The AI ThinQ series TVs are available in various sizes ranging from 32 inches to 77 inches. The price of every model varies according to the technology used. Since the series was launched in India we only have the price information in INR.

The basic model starts at INR 24,990 (Rs. 57,600) going up to INR 10,99,990 (Rs. 2,535,023) . The smallest model of the UHD TV range begins at INR 50,990 (Rs. 117,510) and the high-quality Nano cell TV range starts at INR 82,990 (Rs. 191,257).

Software

Software-wise the range comes with a wide variety of applications like AltBalaji, Amazon Prime Video, Eros Now, Hotstar, Hungama Play, Netflix, Sun Nxt, YouTube, YuppTV, and Zee5. Also, as mentioned earlier, the TVs have support for Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Apple Airplay 2 support.

LG has also included ThinQ AI voice recognition technology to improve the experience with preloaded assistants. All the TVs in the range are touted to include Contextual Voice Understanding. Furthermore, users can access assistant features directly from the remote.

Younchul Park, Director home entertainment, said on the launch,

This addition is LG’s commitment to simplifying the customers’ lives. We are confident that this new feature will elevate the home entertainment experience of both our existing and future consumer.

Nano Cell TV

For customers that demand high-quality images with vibrant colors, LG has introduced the Nano cell TV range. TVs belonging to this range feature Nano Color with Full Array Dimming, Nano Accuracy, and Nano Bezels.

According to LG, the panels of Nano cell TVs are designed to deliver a wide and vivid range of colors as compared to traditional TVs. The concept behind nano bezels is to provide a more immersive viewing experience.

Audio quality

Another feature LG has emphasized on is the audio quality and has used the Alpha 9 Gen 2 processor for AI sound, AI picture and AI brightness. The TV range comes with support for Dolby Atmos to provide a more immersive sound surround experience.

Other features include mobile connection overlay and Google photos and drive access along with two-way Bluetooth connection for wireless streaming.
