Earlier this month, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi launched one of its budget smartphones, the Redmi 9A. It comes at a reasonable price tag of Rs. 14,599 yet it boasts a massive 5000 mAh battery, 13 MP camera, 5 MP selfie cam, MediaTek Helio G25, and lots more.

So, without further ado, let’s see what we get with Redmi 9A.
Redmi 9A, like most Redmi budget phones, comes with a SIM ejection tool, some paperwork, a microUSB cable, and a 10W charger in the box. The smartphone does not come with a case or headphones in the box.
As far as the construction is concerned, Redmi 9A comes with a polycarbonate back with a matte finish. The texture makes it pretty much scratch resistant. The camera sits on an oval aisle along with an LED flashlight. It lacks a fingerprint scanner, unfortunately.
It is built around a 6.53-inch LCD with a waterdrop notch, 720p resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and features 269 PPI pixel density.
Redmi 9A comes with a 13 MP single sensor camera setup on the back and a 5 MP shooter for selfies. Both cameras offer HDR and 1080p video recording at 30 fps as well as Pro mode and a portrait mode, which is pretty impressive considering the price bracket this phone comes at.
Moving on to the internals, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G25 chipset with a PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The SoC is topped with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB onboard storage. The processor is pretty decent for light games and other day-to-day tasks. Unlike many phones in the same price bracket, the phone doesn’t lag when switching between applications.
Redmi 9A’s key selling feature is its massive 5000 mAh battery backed by 10W fast charging.
Overall, based on the specifications and the price tag, the smartphone is a complete package for anyone who wants the basic features on a budget.
