This year, the Korean tech giant Samsung has pulled back the launch date of its new S-series smartphones. Usually, the unpacked event is held in late February but this year, it is scheduled for 14th January 2021 this time around.
Earlier this month, the company confirmed the date of its unpacked event, and now, it has launched a teaser trailer to hype up fans about the event on Thursday.
The caption reads,
Mobile technology has kept us all connected. Now more than ever, we need smartphones that can help us express ourselves with stunning photos, deliver immersive viewing experiences, and simply make everything we do epic.
Samsung’s S21 series (or whatever they decide to call it), will most likely consist of three handsets, the vanilla model, the plus model, and the ultra model. The series will also come with support for the S-pen replacing the Samsung Galaxy Note series that is being discontinued.
The series will most likely be up for pre-orders by Thursday or Friday this week while sales will start from 29th January 2021. A recent leak suggests that the base variant of the series will cost €850 while the plus and ultra model will cost €1,050 and €1,350 respectively.
The unpacked event will be live-streamed on 14th January at 15:00 UTC.
